I hunted in Hungary on more occasions. They have a great population of mouflon, red stag, fallow deer, wild boar. Plenty of high seat shows effort they put in wildlife management. They feed wild animals over winter with mase and silage. So the goal is that everything except wild boar can eat, that’s why the food is on the high table. They often use fences to protect trees, on the other hand, it is easier to promote high trophy animals in more controlled environment, and it is less damage to the crops.

Shooting before hunting season starts. In Croatia, we test our rifles and hunter skills on target. It is often done before roe buck hunt. Usually, target is 100 m away, and the goal is to hit it a few times in 1 minute. Normally, everyday calibers and scopes are used in our everyday hunt. Just as long it is a reliable piece of kit, and hunter is relaxed while using it.

Plenty of high seat are close to the crops. Job of hunte ris wildlife management, that includes crops protection. Some roe and red are shot over these crops, and as many wild boar as possible. Crops are food for people, and protecting them is a big responsibility for our community. All the animal’s meat that is hunted goes into the food chain. In Croatia, we offen eat goulash and wild animal sousage.
